I graduated from the Holland College photography program in 2006 with the best class I ever could have imagined being with. I was the ~~oldest~~…….ok more mature one of the class but I never felt it. They were all so helpful and caring and everyone wanted each other to just being their best to the table. We had ALOT of laughs and I really miss those days. Maggie was my partner in almost every project that we had in the first year and I learned so much from her. In our second year of school Maggie won “Student Photographer of the Year” and many other awards.

She is now married to Mr. Chad Langer, who is also very interested in photography and has a great eye. I wish them all the happiness in the world and great success in all of their endeavors. This is the Turner family. I meet the Turner’s last summer when I photographed Robbie & Jodi’s beautiful wedding and it was love at first sight for me. This family is so full of love and happiness, they just make the world a better place. They are so kind and good to each other that it really does make my heart sing.

There are so many milestones in a person’s lifetime and one that takes TWELVE years to reach is graduation. It is a great life experience but most of us do not see this until many years later.

Trevor & Sayaka

So today is a double duty day Today is my baby brother’s birthday and I am also going to share some of his wedding photos.

One year ago today I was hiding in some bushes with my camera to capture my brother proposing to his beautiful girlfriend Sayaka. One year later they are hitched Sayaka is a beautiful addition to our family, she fits right in with her sense of humor and competitiveness. One of Sayaka’s favorite shows is America’s Next Top model and it showed….she rocked her wedding day!! I am so happy for Trevor and Sayaka and wish them a lifetime of happiness, laughter and love.

My brother is the type of guy who you can call at 3 in the morning and he will be there, no matter what. He’s the guy that gets ALL of the kids in the campground involved in a cool scavenger hunt or flies home for 1 day to be at his friend’s mom’s funeral. Needless to say, I think ALOT of my baby brother.

Sophie

We have added a new addition to our family. Her name is Sophie, an American Cocker Spaniel and she is a fireball. So full of life and energy, I am not sure if I will be able to keep up. So if anyone has any helpful tips for me, I would love to hear from you. She is suppose to be my daughter’s responsibility, maybe I should start taking bets now to see how long it will last for the picking up poop job and going for walks . Right now, I am the one that has been doing the night duties! The house has been very quiet since Abby, I did miss going on walks and the loving eyes wanting treats, but I do believe that this is going to be WAY more work than I imagined. As I am typing right now little Miss Sophie is trying to type as well… Life is good!
